Prairie Creek Fire Protection District is looking for dedicated paid-on-call volunteers and career firefighters/EMS providers to protect the Village of Prairie Creek and our surrounding rural district. No experience required to start — just the drive to serve your neighbors.

For decades, Prairie Creek Fire Protection District has provided fire suppression, technical rescue, and Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance service to the families and farms of our district. We also run community fire-prevention programs — from smoke alarm installs to hands-on CPR training.

We'll Train You to Succeed
You bring the commitment — we provide the training, gear, and mentorship. New members complete state-certified firefighter and EMS coursework at no cost, with ongoing drills and continuing education throughout your service.
Applicants must be at least 18, hold a valid Illinois driver's license, and pass a background check and physical.
